As a composer, he produced more than one hundred and fifty musical pieces, of every kind and for every musical staff. Among his compositions, there are a lot of pieces featuring a cello, alone or with other musical instruments.
His life always had music and the cello at its center. While aware of his natural talent for the instrument, throughout his life he continued to study with perseverance and tenacity, in search of technical and stylistic perfection.
In his opinion, the cello had to enhance the “human” notes, those notes that are able to move and that are impossible for any instrument other than the cello.
